Help for Heroes named Charity of the Year
Tuesday 10 April 2018

We are delighted to announce Clifton Park Hospital’s new charity for 2018 is Help for Heroes.

Help for Heroes is the leading charity for military veterans and provides recovery and support for the Armed Forces community. They help rebuild the lives of military veterans and provide courses and activities which empower the wounded, injured and sick to reach their potential.

So far fundraising activities have consisted of an Easter raffle, staff surveys, wrist band sales and a donation tin on reception. However, staff will be taking part in a sponsored static bike ride and the hospital are also in the process of organising a Summer Patient Open Day, bake sales and raffles so watch this space!

Chloe Normington, GP Liaison Officer said: “A big thank you to all staff and consultants who voted for the Clifton Park Hospital’s Charity of the Year. I am delighted to announce we will be supporting Help for Heroes throughout 2018. We will be organising a number of fundraising events and activities over the course of the year and hope you are all able to get involved.”
